So close - yet so far

Well ladies and gents, I hopefully made my last "big" purchase of the build today. I ordered pistons, rings, wrist pins, bearings, and gaskets. I got a smokin' deal on the order and it was only $200! That's what I needed. I got some sanding done on my panels last night, and am contemplating designs for them. Here is a picture of what i'm thinking... silver and black checkerboard! Any comments? (Obviously it would cover the entire panel... I just did the design up in a jiffy to demonstrate)

With fingers crossed - I will be able to show you a running engine next week! Once I achieve that... I can just tweak everything until the snow flies!!!
